Privacy Policy

Last Updated: November 2, 2026

1. Age Requirement

Range Radio is intended for users aged 13 and older. By creating an account, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old.

2. Information We Collect

Depending on your account role, we may collect:

• Username
• Encrypted (hashed) password
• Broadcaster station range
• Listener email address
• Email verification and email notification preference data
• Favorite station selections for listener accounts
• The policy versions you accept and the date and time of your agreement

3. Why We Collect It

We use this information to create accounts, authenticate users, power live streaming, allow listeners to favorite stations, send verification codes, and send optional live-alert emails for favorited stations.

4. Broadcast Data

Uploaded audio files are stored in cloud object storage and delivered to listeners during broadcasts. Stored audio may remain after a broadcast ends until removed by the site administrator. We also process submitted broadcast audio to detect copyrighted music and enforce our Terms of Use.

5. ACRCloud Copyright Review

We use ACRCloud music recognition to help detect copyrighted music uploaded or submitted for broadcast on our platform. Audio samples and related technical information may be sent to ACRCloud for this copyright review. You can review ACRCloud's privacy policy at https://www.acrcloud.com/privacy/.

6. Moderation and Monitoring

Range Radio administrators may monitor live broadcasts to help enforce our Terms of Use and prevent illegal or explicit content.

7. Request Logging and Bot Monitoring

The hosting platform processes request information and diagnostic logs to operate the service and investigate errors. This information may include IP address, request path, response status, and technical error details. Retention is controlled by the hosting platform. Temporary rate-limit and listener presence records expire automatically.

8. Cookies and Sessions

We use session cookies for authentication and account security. We do not use third-party ad tracking cookies.

9. Data Security

We use reasonable security measures such as password hashing and secure session handling. Account records and uploaded files are stored with our hosting providers, ChatGPT Sites and Cloudflare. However, no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.

10. Email Notifications and Unsubscribing

Listener accounts can turn email alerts on or off from the dashboard. Verification and favorite-station alert emails are sent using the email address provided by the listener.

11. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated at any time. When an updated version requires your agreement, we ask you to review and accept it after signing in.
